David Grusch, UAP Whistleblower, Joins Office of Rep. Eric Burlison Amid Growing Congressional Push for Transparency

EARTH, Laniakea Supercluster—David Grusch, the former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer who gained national attention in 2023 for his whistleblower testimony on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) in front of congress, has joined the office of Representative Eric Burlison (R-MO) as a Special Advisor.

The appointment, announced on March 27, 2025, underscores a renewed push within Congress for greater transparency regarding UAP-related government activities.

Grusch, who served 14 years in the Air Force and held positions at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), represented the NRO on the UAP Task Force from 2019 to 2021. In 2022, he filed a whistleblower complaint with the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG), which was deemed "credible and urgent" for Congressional intelligence committee review. In 2023, Grusch testified before Congress, alleging governmental obstruction of oversight and the concealment of programs related to non-human-origin craft.

"I'm both immensely humbled and deeply honored to join Congressman Burlison and his amazing team of professionals in pushing for government transparency," Grusch stated. "The public is rightfully demanding to know the truth, and it is my true privilege to serve the people of this country once again."

Rep. Burlison, a member of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, has been an advocate for increased transparency on UAP issues. In March 2024, he led a bipartisan letter requesting the establishment of a select subcommittee under the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability to investigate the federal government's response to UAP.

"Transparency is essential for understanding the broader implications of UAP on national security, use of taxpayer funds, and public trust," Burlison emphasized.

Grusch's appointment comes amid heightened interest in UAP disclosures. In recent months, former defense officials, including Lue Elizondo and Christopher Mellon, have engaged with lawmakers to discuss UAP transparency and the challenges posed by drone incursions. These discussions have highlighted the need for clear differentiation between traditional drones and UAPs, as well as the importance of public transparency on these matters.

As Special Advisor, Grusch is expected to support Rep. Burlison's efforts on the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, focusing on UAP and related issues. His expertise is anticipated to aid in legislative initiatives aimed at uncovering the truth behind UAP phenomena and ensuring governmental accountability.

The collaboration between Grusch and Rep. Burlison signifies a continued commitment within Congress to address UAP concerns and to respond to public calls for greater transparency on this enigmatic subject.
